SPAC Daily: DWAC Circus Continues

by | Sep 8, 2022

It’s fitting that the Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), aka Trump SPAC, drama continues to roll on. After originally adjourning their planned Sept. 6th till today, the company then adjourned the vote two more times today first to noon and then out a month till October 10th.

It’s clear that DWAC wasn’t able to get the votes. What is unclear now is the mechanics behind an adjournment out to October. DWAC’s deadline is today, 9/8, and presumably they’ll have to deposit $2,875,000 into its trust account to continue. However, as we sometimes see in SPAC land, who knows? Will wait for more information.

Elsewhere in SPACs
