Today’s update includes a fresh $200 million IPO from Range Capital Acquisition Corp II, an extension vote at Cartica Acquisition, and new deal announcements spanning biotech, blockchain, and clean energy. Investors continue to see a steady stream of blank-check launches, with nine SPAC IPOs priced in the last two weeks. Meanwhile, merger activity is continues to focus on innovative (read: exciting to investors) sectors — from Avalanche’s blockchain treasury vehicle to Singapore-based AI-driven drug discovery and Hadron’s modular nuclear power. Against this backdrop, several sponsors are amending or extending agreements to keep deals on track, underscoring both the opportunities and challenges still facing the SPAC market.

SPAC DEALS ANNOUNCED
Oct 01 | MLAC – Mountain Lake Acquisition Corp + Avalanche Treasury Co

ABOUT Avalanche Treasury Co
Avalanche Treasury Co. (“AVAT”) is an ecosystem-aligned vehicle providing exposure to the Avalanche ecosystem through active treasury management, strategic investments, and an exclusive relationship with the Avalanche Foundation. AVAT bridges traditional finance and blockchain through a purpose-built operating system designed for institutional adoption.

CRYPTO PRIMER: What is the AVAX token?
AVAX is the native token of Avalanche, a next-generation blockchain built for speed, scale, and interoperability. Unlike many tokens that are used purely for speculation, AVAX is essential to the functioning of the network: it secures the system through staking, powers transactions, and serves as the entry point for developers and enterprises building on Avalanche. What makes AVAX stand out is its built-in scarcity. Every transaction fee is permanently burned, meaning the more the network is used, the fewer tokens remain in circulation. With a fixed long-term supply cap, this design gives AVAX characteristics more like a scarce asset than a typical digital utility token. Its applications are broad — from decentralized finance and NFTs to Web3 gaming and the tokenization of real-world assets. Increasingly, enterprises are exploring Avalanche to build custom blockchains for finance, insurance, and other industries.
