IS CANTOR THE REAL “SPAC KING”?
With the IPO of Cantor Equity Partners IV for $400M, Cantor reinforces its place as one of the most prolific SPAC sponsors out there, and certainly the most active in the market today. Its team consists of Cantor SPAC veterans including Brandon Lutnick as CEO. Cantor’s current SPAC roster has 2 pre-deal SPACs, 2 SPACs with deals, and 2 SPACs awaiting IPO. Expect the pre-deals/pre-IPO SPACs to take a crypto-first posture and look for deals within the digital asset space. Lutnick’s current SPAC push could see him become the next “SPAC King” while Chamath wrestles with his past performance and works to bring latest SPAC, American Exceptionalism Acquisition Corp. A, to market.
