Share of each sector’s public companies that saw a CEO or CFO transition in the window. Cells colored on each column’s actual min-max spread — darker = more activity, not better or worse. (Industry-typical CEO turnover runs ~10–15% annually; a low rate may indicate stability or stagnation.)

Activist risk and board ratings are derived from Boardroom Alpha’s proprietary scoring. Activist risk is forward-looking — a quantitative estimate of likelihood of activist engagement, not a current campaign. Board ratings reflect the average tenure-quality score of focal directors. TSR is total shareholder return; one-year figures are simple returns and multi-year figures are annualized. Spreads vs the S&P 500 are in percentage points. Return figures are omitted where a merger, spin-off or similar corporate action breaks the price series.
