Explanatory Note
On October 21, 2025, East West Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) furnished a Current Report on Form 8-K with respect to the announcement of its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (the “Original Filing”). Following the Original Filing, the Company discovered Item 2.01 was inadvertently tagged in the submission rather than Item 2.02. This amendment ensures the correct item tag is reflected in the EDGAR system. No changes have been made to the disclosures previously provided.
Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition
On October 21, 2025, East West Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. A copy of the Company’s press release (the “Press Release”) is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference in this Item 2.02. The Press Release is “furnished” pursuant to General Instruction B.2 of Form 8-K and the information provided in Item 2.02 of this report, including Exhibit 99.1, shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the “Exchange Act”), or otherwise subject to the liabilities of such Section.
