4 NON-GAAP FINANCIAL MEASURES Statements included in this presentation include non-GAAP financial measures and should be read along with the accompanying tables, which provide a reconciliation of non-GAAP financial measures to GAAP financial measures. The non-GAAP financial measures used in this presentation include the following: operating noninterest income, operating noninterest expense, operating net income, operating earnings per diluted share, operating return on average assets, operating return on average equity, operating return on average tangible equity, tangible book value per common share, tangible equity to tangible assets, operating efficiency ratio, operating net noninterest expense to average assets and pre-provision net revenue. The most comparable GAAP measures are noninterest income, noninterest expense, net income, diluted earnings per share, return on average assets, return on average equity, book value per common share, total equity to total assets, efficiency ratio, net noninterest expense to average assets and net interest income before provision for credit losses, respectively. Operating noninterest income excludes loss on sales of securities. Operating noninterest expense excludes severance costs, acquisition-related expenses and loss related to wire fraud incident.
