CEO, CFO, and Director Changes (Jan 4th): 2020 Announcements Become Official

CEO Changes 

  • New York Community Bancorp (NYCB) CEO Joseph Ficalora (C-) stepped down. He will be replaced by Thomas Cangemi, who previously was NYCB’s CFO. John Pinto, formerly Chief Accounting Officer, will assume CFO responsibilities.
  • Announced earlier this Fall, Patricia Poppe (C) become CEO of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PCG). Poppe replaced interim CEO William Smith.
  • Announced at the start of 2020, TopBuild Corporation (BLD) CEO Gerald Volas (A-) was replaced by Robert Buck. Buck was previously COO and President of TopBuild.
  • Announced this past summer, AGCO Corporation (AGCO) CEO Martin Richenhagen (C+) was replaced by Eric Hansotia. Hansotia was previously COO of AGCO.
  • Announced this past Fall, Moody’s Corporation (MCO) CEO Ray McDaniels (C+) was replaced by Robert Fauber. Fauber was previously COO of Moody’s.
  • Announced this past Fall, Fluor (FLR) CEO Carlos Hernandez (F) was replaced by David Constable. Constable was a director at Fluor who has had experience as CEO of Sasol Limited.
  • Announced this past Fall, Polaris (PII) CEO Scott Wine (B+) stepped down. His replacement has not been announced yet.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, Mastercard Incorporated (MA) CEO Ajay Banga (A-) was replaced by Michael Miebach. Miebach was previously Chief Product Officer at Mastercard.
  • Announced this past Fall, Chimera Investment Corporation (CIM) CEO Matthew Lambiase (A) was replaced by Mohit Marria. Marria is CIO of Chimera.
  • Announced this past Fall, Jennifer Witz replaced James Meyer (C-) as CEO of Sirius XM Holdings (SIRI). Read our analysis here.
  • Announced this past Fall, Curtiss-Wright Corporation (CW) CEO David Adams (B) was replaced by Lynn Bamford. Bamford was previously President of the Defense and Power Segments at Curtiss. 
  • Announced this past Fall, Consolidated Edison (ED) CEO John McAvoy (C-) was replaced by Timothy Cawley. Read our analysis here.
  • Announced this past Fall, Meritage Homes Corporation (MTH) CEO Steven Hilton (C-) was officially replaced by Phillippe Lord. Lord was previously COO of Meritage.
  • Announced this past Fall, Energizer Holdings (ENR) CEO Alan Hoskins (C+) was replaced by Mark LaVigne. Lavigne was previously COO of Energizer.
  • Announced this past Fall, First Merchants Corporation (FRME) CEO Michael Rechin (A) was replaced by Mark Hardwick. Hardwick was previously CFO and COO of First. SVP Michele Kawiecki became CFO.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, SolarWinds (SWI) CEO Kevin Thompson (C) was replaced by Sudhakar Ramakrishna. Ramakrishna most recently served as the CEO of Pulse Secure.
  • Announced this past Summer, Evergy (EVRG) CEO Terry Bassham (B) was replaced by David Campbell (D). Campbell was recently CFO of Vistra Corporation.
  • Myovant Sciences (MYOV) CEO Lynn Seely resigned. He was replaced by David Marek, who joins Myovant from Axsome Therapeutics where he was chief commercial officer.
  • Announced this past Fall, Ecolab (ECL) CEO Douglas M Baker (C+) was replaced by Christophe Beck. Beck is Ecolab’s President and COO.
  • Announced this past Fall, Cirrus Logic (CRUS) CEO Jason Rhode (A-) was replaced by John Forsyth. Forsyth was president and COO of Cirrus.

CFO Changes

  • Announced this past Fall, Sealed Air Corporation (SEE) CFO James Sullivan (C-) was replaced by Christopher Stephens (D). Stephens was previously CFO of the Barnes Group. Marian Acker will become interim CFO at the Barnes Group.
  • Announced this past Fall, AutoZone (AZO) CFO William Giles (A) was replaced by Jamere Jackson (F). Jackson was previously CFO of Hertz Global Holdings.
  • David Williams (B-) resigned from his role of CFO of Penn National Gaming (PENN). He will be replaced by Felicia Hendrix, a former equity research analyst.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (CBRL) CFO Jill Golder (D) stepped down. She will be replaced by SVP Doug Couvillion in the interim.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, ANGI Homeservices (ANGI) CFO Jamie Cohen (D) stepped down. She will be replaced by former CFO Glenn Schiffman (A) in the interim.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, Steve Madden (SHOO) CFO Arvind Dharia (A) was replaced by Zine Mazouzi. Mazouzi was Chief Accounting Officer and a SVP at Madden.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, W. W. Grainger (GWW) CFO Thomas Okray (C-) stepped down. He will be replaced by VP Robert O’Keef in the interim.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, Waters Corporation (WAT) CFO Sherry Buck (D) stepped down. She will be replaced by VP Michael Silveira in the interim.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, Vornado Realty Trust (VNO) CFO Joseph Macnow (D) was replaced by Michael Franco. Franco is president of Vornado.
  • Announced this past Fall, Parker-Hannifin Corporation (PH) CFO Catherine Suever (A) was replaced by Todd Leombruno. Leombruno was previously a VP and Controller at Parker.
  • Announced earlier this Winter, PennyMac Financial Services (PFSI) CFO Andrew Chang (A+) was promoted to Senior Managing Director and COO. Senior Managing Director Daniel Perotti became the new CFO.
  • Announced this past Fall, American Electric Power Company (AEP) CFO Brian Tierney (B+) became EVP of strategy. Former SVP Julie Sloat became CFO.

Director Changes

  • After investor Carl Ichan sold his shares in Herbalife Nutrition (HLF), directors nominated by his investment firm resigned. The directors in question are. Jonathan Christodoro (C), Hunter Gary (C-), Nicholas Graziano (D), Jesse Lynn (D) and James Nelson (D).
  • Randall Stephenson (B+) resigned from his role of chairman of the AT&T (T) board.
